As the official representation of Switzerland, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

The tasks of the embassy

 

Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic and Swiss Cooperation Office (SCO) in Tajikistan are responsible for Swiss development activities in Central Asia.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Uzbekistan oversees implementation of six national projects, plus all regional water sector projects in the Ferghana Valley.

The Embassy of Switzerland in the Kyrgyz Republic oversees implementation of a number of national and some regional projects.

SCO in Dushanbe, Tajikistan oversees implementation of a number of national projects in Tajikistan.

Each office has its own Arts and Culture Programme.
